A New Form of Renter Eviction
Accoring to Korean Housing and Urban Renewal Act, the renters in redevelopment area are eligible to get either public rental housing or relocation subsidy on their choice. Yet, in reality, there emerges a new form of renter eviction - as the projcet takes a long time period, the landlords do not extend the rental tenure in order to save the relocation subsidy that they are supposed to provide at the time of clearance.
