Uniquely Korean: Difficult-to-sell
Korean local cities experiencing inner city decline due in part to massive suburban development. While outer apartment complexes continue to attract inner city residents, they are also facing a significant inoccupation. Some 110,000 units are now unsold and half of them not occupied after completion. The number is expected to rise to some 150,000 units soon. In Korean large cities, this over-supply of housing in outer area goes alogn with massive designation of residential renewal in the city center.
